Culture shock in your new country

Culture shock is very common amongst exchange students. You need to be aware that some things are going to be really different from what you are used to in your home country. You will need to accept this.

But, even though you are aware of this, you still may have trouble handling it in the beginning. Don’t be surprised if you catch yourself becoming upset by something like the bathroom not having a lock. Just give it some time and you’ll get used to it. The best thing you can do is be open to new things, yet be aware you will still get hit by culture shock.
