How to Handle Being Homesick
Everyone exchange student will get homsick, more or less. It is completly normal and nothing weird for an exchange student to get homesick.
It can vary a lot when you get homesick. Maybe all of your homesickness will struck under your first time, after the first exciting time is over. You will maybe get homesick at holidays, when something goes wrong or if you just feel lonely. When you get homesick it is important not to keep it for yourself and walk away. To call home to your parents will just make the thing worse. Instead, tell your host-parents how you feel and try to activate yourself in some way. After some time of being homesick it almost always goes away as fast as it appeared.
