YFU is a non-profit international educational organization with organizations in more than 50 different countries, we are one of the world’s oldest, largest and most respected intercultural exchange programs. Youth Programs
YFU is the intercultural exchange program for you if you’re a U.S. high school student or recent graduate and want to experience another part of the world. Choose from a year, semester or summer program that allows you to immerse yourself in another culture, learn a new language and live with a host family who will open their home and hearts to you.
Being an exchange student are for those eager to explore the path less taken, who are open to discovery and the realization that there is more than one way to live a life, for those ready to ask challenging questions of themselves.
As a YFU Youth Program participant, you'll become a part of a host family, appreciate the nuances of a foreign language, and test your confidence in new situations. Although your YFU learning adventure will last only a summer, semester, or a school year, your journey abroad will have a powerful, life-changing impact. Study abroad with YFU to develop an understanding of a faraway place, and also an understanding of an inner place.
